Residents, staff, family and friends at a luxury all-inclusive care home in Uxbridge marked their eighth birthday with a lively garden party.

Ryefield Court, which is part of the Berkley Care Group <https://www.berkleycaregroup.co.uk/> , celebrated their birthday on Friday 10th May with a barbeque in the sun with a professional singer, a pop-up casino and a visit from Cllr Colleen Sullivan, the Mayoress of Hillingdon.

The home’s head chef took charge of the barbeque, serving burgers and chicken drumsticks to all of those in attendance. Residents and their guests also enjoyed a buffet with classic barbeque snacks like potato salad and prawn cocktail in addition to a desert selection of profiteroles and strawberries and cream.

A highlight of the event was the pop-up casino organised by the events team. Residents enthusiastically took to the roulette and blackjack tables where they gambled with chips provided by the dealers.

Mayoress Colleen Sullivan took the time to speak with many of those in attendance, and later joined the team at Ryefield Court for the presentation of the home’s eighth birthday cake. Accompanied by the singer, Caron Pascoe, everyone sang “Happy Birthday” before cutting the cake.

Commenting on the day, Madge Wang, Ryefield Court’s General Manager, said:

“We are thrilled to celebrate another milestone here at Ryefield Court. Each year is a testament to the community we’ve built and the dedication of our team. Our commitment to providing exceptional care and creating a nurturing environment for our residents is evident in days like today, filled with joy and community spirit.

“Seeing our residents out in the garden, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the fresh air, is truly heartwarming. It’s moments like these that uplift their spirits and have a huge impact on their wellbeing.

“Here’s to many more years of creating a warm and welcoming home for all who live and work here.”
