Camberley Manor, located in Deepcut, has been generating buzz and wagging tails with the introduction of its monthly Canine Café, a delightful event that has become a favourite among local residents and their furry friends.
Since its launch in March, this free, dog-friendly event has welcomed dozens of new and familiar faces, along with their four-legged companions. Designed with dog-loving residents in mind, the Canine Café engages local dog owners in a warm and welcoming environment. Residents actively participate by preparing homemade pupcakes the day before and assisting with hosting duties on the day.
The Canine Café features a variety of themed activities to keep both dogs and their owners entertained. Past events have included the “Pupcasso” canvas-making class, a fun agility course inspired by Crufts, and a “Starpups” pop-up bar serving refreshing puppycinos made to order. While the event is complimentary, donations to local dog charities are encouraged.
Interacting with animals has proven benefits for the elderly, including cognitive stimulation, stress reduction, mood improvement, and the release of endorphins.
