On Friday, Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV) welcomed partners, supporters and sector colleagues to a special Christmas Lunch at the Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross – an afternoon dedicated to recognising the collective effort that has shaped one of our most significant years to date.
Hosted by our Founder, Jayne Connery, the event brought together care providers, technology innovators, legal partners, sector journalists and long-standing friends of the campaign. It was a rare opportunity for everyone involved in CCFTV’s work to meet face-to-face, share reflections, and acknowledge the impact that genuine collaboration can have on improving safety and dignity in care.

A Year Marked by Shared Values
Throughout 2025, CCFTV has continued to work alongside families and care professionals while building strong partnerships rooted in openness, trust and a shared commitment to better dementia care. This year saw CCFTV invited into homes across the country, supporting leadership teams, listening to staff, and championing the importance of culture, transparency and choice-led independent safety monitoring.
Friday’s gathering was a chance to thank those who have walked this journey with us – from Care Protect, Slater and Gordon Lawyers, Abuela Technology and ERA Group, to MMCG, Adopt-a-Grandparent and many others who continually support CCFTV’s work.
Honouring the People Behind the Progress
The lunch shone a light on the individuals who help drive meaningful change: care staff working under immense pressure, managers determined to build safe and compassionate environments, and the families who bravely speak out to improve standards for others. Guests shared stories, exchanged ideas and reflected on the challenges and achievements. It is a reminder that real change in the care sector happens when people come together with honesty and a shared vision.

Looking Ahead to 2026
As CCFTV prepares for another landmark year, with major partnerships, policy work, roundtables and national discussions already under way, Friday’s event symbolised more than a festive gathering. It represented the strength of a growing movement determined to place safety, respect and dignity at the heart of dementia care.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and to those who continue to support CCFTV throughout the year.
Together, we step into 2026 with renewed determination, a united voice and the confidence that partnership remains one of the most powerful tools for change.
