Exemplar Health Care, a leading provider of nursing care for adults with complex needs, is celebrating the opening of two brand-new units at Potters Green. The care home on Randerson Drive opened its doors in August 2023, with almost all its available beds occupied within the first year due to high demand.
Potters Green supports adults living with complex mental health needs, dementia, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities, including Huntington’s disease, providing long-term community care for adults who would otherwise have a pro-longed stay in hospital or other inappropriate setting.
The home opened with 20 bedrooms complete with ensuite wet rooms, split across two small, units. After receiving such high demand for its services the home has been extended with two new units providing a further 18 beds. With this small group living model, Exemplar Health Care has found it can provide a far more supportive environment that is more responsive to people’s needs. The home also features communal dining and living spaces, an activities hub, therapy room, multi-faith room, beauty salon and a large accessible garden.
defaultAround 40 new jobs have been created, but the home is still looking for a final few dedicated and compassionate colleagues to join its new team. Recruitment is still on-going for Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants and other support roles.

Having opened 15 homes between 2023 and 2024, Exemplar Health Care now employs more than 5,500 people, and supports more than 1,000 individuals. Last year, the provider confirmed these openings formed part of an ambitious growth plan to bring much needed complex nursing care services to more locations across England.
