Awards & Recognition

Ashberry Healthcare had the privilege of attending the prestigious Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2024, marking an evening to remember. Representatives from 2 of Ashberry Healthcare Homes; Broomy Hill, Holmer Court, and Ashberry’s directors were present, including CEO Nigel Denny and CFO Gary Cottrell. The team was thrilled to witness their contributions to Health and Social Care being recognised with high regard.

This year held special significance, as Ashberry Healthcare proudly served as the event’s official sponsor. As a social care organisation, they were honoured to highlight the remarkable efforts of health and social care workers whose dedication often goes unacknowledged. This sponsorship reflected Ashberry Healthcare’s deep commitment to celebrating and supporting the individuals and teams who dedicate their lives to caring for others.

Holmer Court once again emerged victorious, taking home two prestigious awards. This marked the third consecutive year Holmer Court had been celebrated at the event, with the team continuing to set new standards of excellence year after year.

A Legacy of Excellence

Holmer Court’s journey at the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards began in 2022 when they were crowned Care Home of the Year. The following year, in 2023, they earned two more accolades: the Dementia Carer Award, presented to Becky, their Wellbeing Coordinator, and the Care Home Worker Award, which went to Richard, their Maintenance Officer. These recognitions firmly established Holmer Court as a leader in exceptional care within the community.

In 2024, Holmer Court achieved even more success with two additional awards:

Care Home Worker Award – Jeny Clarke

Congratulations were extended to Jeny Clarke, who was honoured with the Care Home Worker Award. This accolade celebrates individuals who consistently go above and beyond in delivering outstanding care, and Jeny exemplifies this in all she does. Her unwavering commitment to enhancing the well-being of those under her care made her a beloved figure at Holmer Court. This award served as a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and the profound impact she has on those around her, and her achievements were a source of immense pride.

Health Care Team Award – Holmer Court Team

The Health Care Team Award was another well-earned recognition for the entire Holmer Court team. This award celebrates teams that collaborate effectively to improve patient care, and the Holmer Court team’s remarkable ability to work together and communicate across organisational boundaries has been key to their success. Their dedication and professionalism continue to make a tangible difference in the lives of those they care for, and this award is a testament to the exceptional work they do every day. Their innovative approaches and commitment to enhancing patient care are truly inspiring, and their recognition on such a prestigious platform was well-deserved.

Looking to the Future

This year’s accomplishments not only reflect the dedication of individual staff members but also highlight the strong culture of care and collaboration that exists at Holmer Court. Looking ahead, Ashberry Healthcare is excited to build on this success, maintaining their high standards while always striving to improve the lives of those in their care.

A special commendation was also extended to the team at Broomy Hill in Hereford for their nominations at this year’s awards. Their contributions to the Health and Social Care community were a source of immense pride for the organisation.
