95% WATER WITH ADDED ELECTROLYTES, (SUGAR-FREE AND VEGAN)

INCLUDE ESSENTIAL B-COMPLEX VITAMINS TO SUPPORT COGNITIVE FUNCTIONING AND IMMUNE SYSTEM

Jelly Drops – the mission-driven startup behind the 95% water sweet developed to help people living with dementia and other health conditions to boost their hydration, have introduced essential B-complex vitamins to their award-winning format, following the latest round of community-led product development.

Scientifically formulated by a team of specialists, the bespoke boost of essential B-Complex vitamins will assist in maintaining psychological function, help support the immune system, as well as reducing tiredness and fatigue – delivering hydration and a boost of vitamins via the same ‘smart sweet’ for the first time.

Jelly Drops (vegan and sugar-free) were developed by then 24 year old innovation design engineering student Lewis Hornby, to help his Grandma, who lived with dementia, to avoid dehydration. After securing £100k funding from the Alzheimer’s Society, the innovative sweet launched publicly in 2020 to help an underserved market of over 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK.

Dehydration is a common challenge for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia who can forget to drink enough water, may not equate drinking with quenching thirst, or may refuse help to drink, often worsening their existing condition to a point where they need to be hospitalised.

Jelly Drops shift the conversation for caregivers from ‘‘will you drink more water” to the individual supporting their own hydration with a tasty sweet, a game changer which has also been helpful in supporting hospital patients with fluid levels and reducing interventions for traditional fluid replacement. By supporting a patient’s self sufficiency for fluid intake, Jelly Drops can also support individuals in their discharge from acute care, a clear benefit to their usage among many NHS Trusts across the UK.

Jelly Drops come in six juicy flavours, orange, lemon, blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry and peach make a great gift for loved ones that struggle to stay hydrated, with 1% profit on every UK purchase also going to Alzheimer’s Society UK to fund dementia support and research.
