OM Interactive are excited to announce that we have partnered with Belmont Lodge Care Home in the United Kingdom – part of Forest Healthcare – to bring our OMI ‘Life Stories Initiative’ to their Residents. We understand the importance of maintaining a sense of identity and connection to one’s past, especially for those living in Care Homes.

Our OMI ‘Life Stories’ activities provide a unique way for Residents to reminisce and share their personal experiences and memories with others. We have worked closely with families and the Care Home to create personalized and engaging activities, tailored to each individual Resident. Using photographs supplied by family members, we have been able to create interactive experiences that allow Residents to recall key moments and events from their past, promoting feelings of nostalgia and happiness.

The benefits of these activities are numerous. They not only provide a sense of connection to the past but also help to stimulate memories and cognitive function. They also help to improve emotional well-being and reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness. These activities allow families and friends to engage more with their loved ones by sharing memories and personal stories and participating in the Life Stories activities.

We are proud to have had such a positive response to the ‘Life Stories’ Initiative and are excited to introduce the innovative experience to more Care Homes in the United Kingdom and beyond. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to celebrate and share their life stories, and we are honoured to have launched this experience with the Residents of Belmont Lodge.
