Rangeford Villages, an award-winning retirement village specialist for over 60s has appointed Olga Fernandez as Village Services Manager and Philippa Hicks as Health and Wellbeing Manager for its later living lifestyle community Homewood Grove, Chertsey, Surrey.

The two new appointments come at a busy time for Rangeford Villages, as it looks to progress the development of Homewood Grove. Initial market response has been popular with a number of properties reserved off plan from discerning buyers keen to secure a home at the contemporary new retirement village, with the first completions due in Spring 2024.

This comes following the opening of the marketing suite and the launch of the first show home in October 2023, as well as the announcement of the Home Exchange offer, where, for a limited time only, prospective buyers can receive up to 100% value for their existing property.

Olga Fernandez joins the team as Village Services Manager, with over 19 years of experience in hospitality, commenting on her new roles Olga says; I am very excited about my new role, and I look forward to working alongside the operations team to ensure the smooth running of the village and create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.”

Meanwhile, Philippa Hicks joins the Homewood Grove team as a Health and Wellbeing Manager. Philippa has a wealth of experience in the sector, having spent the last six years managing and developing a wellness centre for another retirement village developer. Speaking about her appointment she said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Wellbeing Manager at Homewood Grove and am looking forward to welcoming in our first members and to helping them develop an active lifestyle.

“We have an exciting programme planned and am looking forward to seeing our state of the art,

wellbeing centre, gym, dance and yoga studio in use.”

Commenting on the new appointments, Beccy Gunn, Homewood Grove’s Village Manager said: “We are delighted to announce the appointments of two new starters to our brand-new contemporary lifestyle community for the over 60s.

“Olga and Philippa are an integral addition to the growing team here at Homewood Grove. They both bring a wealth of experience, and I have no doubt that they will settle into their roles and will help to create a place where residents can enjoy later life and live independently.

“We are also excited to see the village take shape. Homewood Grove is in a beautiful setting, and new residents can rest assured that everything will be in place, and they will be looked after by experienced and friendly village staff and management.”

The 4.7-hectare village will offer a stunning collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments complete with onsite amenities and 24/7 support services.

Sustainability is at the heart of Homewood Grove’s design, and properties will be highly energy efficient with each apartment featuring underfloor heating, double-glazed picture windows and an all-electric energy system to help lower bills and reduce the environmental impact. Other initiatives include solar panels, electric car charging points, and an electric pool car will be available for use.

Residents will also benefit from several state-of-the-art amenities, including Revive, the wellbeing centre (pool, steam room and sauna) gym, dance/exercise studio, Oak and Honey Restaurant and bar, a members’ lounge, a hair salon and 2 treatment rooms. The community will be staffed 24/7 and each home will be fitted electronic tablets to request emergency assistance if required, as well as acting as a video entry system.
