Sandstone Care Group has acquired Dalton Court Care Home in Cockermouth, marking a significant milestone as the company’s first care service in Cumbria.
Formerly owned by the Priory Group, Dalton Court becomes the 11th home in the growing Sandstone Care portfolio and further strengthens the Group’s commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care across the North West and beyond.
Nestled on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Dalton Court is a 60-bed home offering specialist nursing, dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care, as well as flexible respite support. With 24-hour assistance from registered nurses and a dedicated care team, the home is known for its warm, welcoming environment and focus on independence and wellbeing.
