In Birmingham Rubery, 11th October 2023 – Afternoon Tea Fundraiser at The Oaks Care Home in Rubery, was an event designed to be a fun afternoon with families, friends and the local community while raising vital funds for the exceptional hospice care provided at The Birmingham Hospice.

The afternoon affair took place at The Oaks Care Home, located in the heart of Rubery. This delightful event was a memorable experience for attendees of all ages, as they come together to support the compassionate work of The Birmingham Hospice.

Guests were invited to indulge in an assortment of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves, and an array of freshly made cakes. The Afternoon Tea was thoughtfully prepared by The Oaks Care Home’s talented chefs.

Beyond the foodie treats, this event also featured a talk from Corporate Fundraiser Esme Lloyd-Kelly. Guests also had the opportunity to participate in a delightful raffle, with exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses.

“We are thrilled to host this Afternoon Tea Fundraiser at The Oaks Care Home,” said Zoe Doherty Customer Focus Lead, a representative from The Birmingham Hospice Esme Lloyd-Kelly commented “Not only was it be a delightful occasion for all who attend, but the funds raised will enable us to help with providing exceptional care and support to those in our community who need it most.”

All proceeds from this Afternoon Tea Fundraiser will directly benefit Birmingham Hospice, enabling them to enhance their services, provide comfort to patients and their families, and support their commitment to offering outstanding end-of-life care.
